Center for Social Change joined Fashion Week in New York, extending a valued CSC fashion-show tradition onto a larger public stage.
From preparation to the runway
Before the New York event, Rasneet and Fred attended an August 27 gala in Springfield, Virginia, where they met the designer and other models and practiced their poses. On September 9, they stepped onto the runway in designer looks created around the theme “Gowns with Crowns.”
The evening celebrated preparation, confidence and self-expression. The audience cheered as they walked, and the experience concluded with a professional photo session alongside the other models.
A New York memory
Photographs from the session were later displayed on a Times Square billboard. The trip also made room for shopping and exploring New York City—turning one runway moment into a broader experience of creativity, travel and community participation.
