CSC offers residential programs and a wide array of supports that enable adults with developmental disabilities to live relatively independent lives in the community.
Eligibility
CSC has provided up to 24-hour community residential support to adults with developmental disabilities since 1993. The program promotes empowerment, personal growth, choice, rights and productivity.
Individuals eligible for state funding through Maryland’s Developmental Disabilities Administration may qualify for CSC residential services. Eligibility and agency contact information will be confirmed before launch.
Alternate Living Unit (ALU)
An ALU is a home or apartment that accommodates up to three individuals. Support may include health-related appointments, shopping, social activities and special events.
Group homes and supported living
Small group homes accommodate up to four adults. Community Supported Living Arrangements are designed for adults who can exercise greater choice in selecting their home, roommate, staff and supports.
Daily life in the community
Residential support is not only about a place to live. It can include building routines, making everyday choices, maintaining relationships, attending appointments and activities, developing household skills and participating in the surrounding community.
